Learn the theory and practical skills to become a life-saving paramedic.
You’ll focus on a range of topics, including patient safety and the needs of ageing populations.
Why Bradford? You'll train in our state-of-the-art simulation facilities. Also, our four-year sandwich degree has been developed in collaboration with Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS). It offers a unique, salaried sandwich year with YAS in your third year.
As a registered paramedic you’ll be able to seek employment in the UK ambulance services and many other clinical positions.
We have 1 course in this area.
Due to our unique placement year with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, students will graduate with experience of working in a frontline clinical role. Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the HCPC as a paramedic. This enables them to work in UK ambulance services as well as in other specialist clinical areas.
As well as working in the ambulance service, graduates also have opportunities to work in a range of settings including education, research, advanced primary care and in the community. Paramedics can also work at sporting events, with firefighters and in other diverse settings.
This provides a real alternative to other healthcare careers such as medicine, nursing, midwifery or other allied health pathways.
