Tuition fee policy for Staff

The guiding principle that no fees are payable is designed for people whose primary relationship with the University is as a member of staff.

It is designed to enable part-time or full-time staff to study part-time whilst in employment. It is not designed for people whose primary relationship with the University is as a student, and who, whilst studying at the University, gain some form of employment with it.

To waive fees:

  • People should have started their employment with the University before applying for their course of study
  • The number of hours of study should not normally exceed the number of hours people are employed to work
  • A member of staff's contract should exceed the length of the course they are undertaking
