Getting started

We recommend that you begin by attending a library induction with your Subject Librarian. This will help you to become familiar with all the relevant library resources and how to locate them.

Summon - a powerful search engine that provides fast, simple access to scholarly material at the University of Bradford.

Language Centre Readers - classic novels by American and European authors adapted for different reading levels. They are in the JB Priestley Library at class number 428.6 LANG

Bradford Public Library - public libraries have many useful resources available including Asian language services, books, films and other materials in a number of languages.

Find your Subject Librarian - Subject Librarians are there to help you with subject-specific queries, locating and using library resources etc.
