Our first aid courses run regularly throughout the year and are usually delivered on campus at the University of Bradford.

We also offer a flexible course schedule and can deliver training at a time that suits you, either on campus or on your premises. If you would benefit from a more flexible course delivery, please contact us.

The University of Bradford is a longstanding education establishment and is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) to deliver first aid and Lifeguard Training. Our first aid courses are grouped into three categories, which you will find below:

First aid and lifeguarding

Start a lifesaving journey with our first aid and lifeguard training courses.

This course will give you the necessary knowledge and skills to give life support, and manage and treat injuries until medical assistance arrives.

The RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification in the UK and will provide you with the opportunity for employment at most swimming pools.

We are a Paediatric first aid Association-approved training centre, which enables us to deliver compulsory training to childcare workers, including nurseries and schools.

Skills updates and refreshers

Stay current and refresh your skills with our update and refresher courses.

This course is designed to keep you up to date with current legislation, and changes to first aid training.

This course is designed to refresh you with the necessary knowledge and skills to give life support, and manage and treat injuries until medical assistance arrives.
