- Advising on the university’s implementation of the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).
- Working collaboratively with academic schools and the services directorate to implement and improve use of the university’s eportfolio system, PebblePad.
- Consulting on various Technology Enhanced Learning and pedagogic initiatives.
Joy has taught and designed curricula in the areas of Academic Literacy, English for Academic Purposes, and English as a Foreign Language for over ten years while working in the United States, Japan, and the UK. Her BA is in Literature and Writing, her MA is in English for Specific Purposes, and her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice focused on programme design to meet learner needs, including revamping e-delivery. This project led to her being granted Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
