Health and social care at DHEZ
Collaborating with partners in health and social care
We work with partners in the healthcare sector to understand their needs and collaborate with them to help meet their objectives. Our flexible and well-equipped facilities are available for a range of health and care applications.
Find out more below, including our video case study about vaccine trials at DHEZ.
Phlebotomy
The Phlebotomy Suite provides research support to our academic community, including consented blood samples for research projects.
The suite also provides the setting for our phlebotomy courses, where University of Bradford students and staff and practitioners in the community can train to become a fully-qualified phlebotomist. This service at the DHEZ helps to address the requirement for trained phlebotomists in the NHS, where waiting times for phlebotomy training for nurses and midwives can be more than six months.

Tech House
Our Tech House/Living Lab facility offers digital health capabilities that are unique in the UK.
It is a two bedroom house built within the Phoenix South West Building. It's a perfect place to test digital health prototypes in a 'real life' environment for industry or the health sector. It can also deliver a more engaging learning experience for students.
See our video case study on how the Tech House is used by Bradford Council.
