Our expert team of trainers have an array of clinical experience, academic expertise and evidence-based knowledge which enables us to provide high quality training on numerous topics. In the past, we have delivered training on
- Person-centred care
- End of life dementia care
- Dysphasia
- Enriched care planning
- Supporting families and friends
- Dementia friendly activities and occupation
- Communication techniques
- Decision making
- Assessment, diagnosis and post-diagnostic Support
- …and more!
We recommend that all of our bespoke training packages begin with our one-day introduction to person-centred care.
WHAT IS THE COST?
The cost of bespoke training packages is very much dependent on how many people are trained, where the training will take place and for how long, and so packages are costed on an individual basis. We can tailor any training package to meet your financial requirements and budgets.
WHO IS THE TRAINING AIMED AT?
Our bespoke training packages can be tailored to any organisational setting and level. In the past we have provided training for care homes, hospices, domiciliary care companies, acute hospital trusts, primary care staff and more. We offer “train the trainer” courses which enable staff members to cascade training across their teams and organisations.
WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE TRAINING?
We deliver a range of training courses, from one day foundation level courses to three day intermediate level courses. Training packages are bespoke to each organisation to reflect their requirements and timescales.
WHAT WILL BE THE OUTCOMES OF THE TRAINING?
Our training packages are all evidenced based and meet the learning outcomes of Health Education England’s Dementia Training Standards Framework. Upon completion of training, participants will receive a certificate from The University of Bradford.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TASTER TRAINING SESSIONS?
Yes, we have a new short course programme beginning in September 2022 entitled “50 Shades of Dementia”. This programme offers an introduction to 10 topics which are delivered over 1 or 2 days. These courses are appropriate for all people passionate about improving the lives of people with dementia. The courses are aimed at anyone working in dementia care services and are also appropriate for people living with dementia and their family and friends. Click here to find out more.
