Workshops

We offer regular workshops for students and staff.

Mindfulness

Regular mindfulness practice can result in increased concentration, focus and attention, energy and calmness (Christopher & Maris, 2010). The sessions are experiential and will introduce you to what mindfulness is as well as teaching you mindfulness techniques that you can use on your own.

Students can book mindfulness workshops through Wellbeing Workshops.

Staff can book mindfulness workshops through People Development.

The Creative Space

Why not see how being creative can help you?

Being creative can help you relax, focus, calm down, or just feel more alive. It can help you let things go, or feel more connected.

Our workshops will provide a space to work creatively with a different material each session, for example colouring sheets, clay modelling, making wool dolls, using wire. The sessions are facilitated by Sarah, one of our counsellors, who will show you how to use the materials and help you explore your creative side.

Don't worry if you feel you are 'no good at art' or 'not creative'. Many of us have had negative messages like this throughout our lives which can leave us feeling as though we are not creative. We want to encourage you to get back in touch with your creative side and enjoy it again!

All materials are provided, along with a safe, non judgemental space to create and be yourself.

These workshops are currently only available to students. Book a place through Wellbeing Workshops.

Panic Free Exams

Anxiety can make us under-perform. Come along and discover some simple ways to care for yourself in the run-up to exams so that, on the day, you can help yourself feel more relaxed, capable and in control.
