Senate
The Council devolves oversight and governance of all academic matters to the Senate. The Senate is the academic authority of the University and is chaired by the Vice Chancellor.
Its membership is drawn from the University's academic body, and has representation from Professional Services and University students.
Powers of the Senate are defined in the University charter and statutes.

The Senate and the Council jointly consider and grant nominations for Honorary Awards. - University ethics committee
The University Ethics Committee considers the moral implications of the University's actions.

- Wednesday 31 January 2024 (deadline for receipt of documents 12 noon, 17 January 2024),
- Wednesday 13 March 2024 (deadline for receipt of documents 12 noon, 28 February 2024),
- Wednesday 01 May 2024 (deadline for receipt of documents 12 noon 17 April 2024),
- Wednesday 03 July 2024 (deadline for receipt of documents 12 noon 19 June 2024).
NB Late documents will not normally be accepted and will be deferred to the next meeting.
